I’m Karen Bowen, founder of KMH Strategy and co-owner of EQ Development Group. I’ve spent more than 25 years working with boards, leadership teams, and associations across Canada to help them align people and priorities — and turn strategy into action.

My specialty is making complex conversations accessible and useful — whether we’re building a strategic plan, realigning a leadership team, or reshaping board governance. I bring warmth, structure, and a whole lot of practical experience to the room.

I believe strategy is more than a document. It’s about relationships, reflection, and the courage to make real choices together. My facilitation style is grounded, clear, and engaging — equal parts fun, calm presence and forward momentum.

I hold certifications in MSCEIT, Emotional Intelligence (EQi/EQ360), Adaptability, MBTI, Personality Dimensions, Clear Leadership, Power + Systems, Human Systems Dynamics, and graphic facilitation just to name a few. I’m also a Master Trainer, an Accredited Director with the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada, and someone who genuinely loves seeing leaders come alive in their work.

Outside the “office”, you can find me in the gym or with my “feet in the dirt” – cycling, hiking, swimming, golfing, and of course on the Pickleball court!
